Okay so some of you may have seen my recent blog about feeling down about everything and my grandfather dying etc...

Well today was supposed to be my first day back at work...and as usual my body has reacted against it and given me one of the worst colds I ever had..so as usual I wake up at 5 friggin AM, and get to work for 6 after little or no sleep.

work colleague: Oh I didn't think you were supposed to be back yet

me: huh?

wc: yeah look at the rota

I look at the rota...evidentally I am not back in work until thursday

me: aww what the fuck? fine see you thursday then....

Well, here I am. I typed in "I hate my job" and found this site. This is great and I thank you for this...I'm a little paranoid about being recognized by a coworker, cause frankly, everyone of them has reason to be here, but....this is a great venting outlet. My friends and family won't say it but I bet they're sick of hearing about this. So, maybe venting online will be helpful. I'm so stressed out by all this I'm sick...and I'm eating WAY too much! (food=comfort)

Someone said (my friend attributes it to Oprah) that life kicks you in the head when things have to change, and if you ignore it, it comes back and kicks you again, only harder...well, I think I'm on my third kick and I'm starting to get the message.

I am in the grassroots of researching information about starting a union for employees of CROs. We not only have a difficult job but we need to come together in numbers and be strong for each other.

We are increasingly seeing larger and more multiple studies dumped on us and we are expected to make the deadlines and timelines for them all. We are expected to take meeting calls and attend teleconferences on our family vacations and work long hours under the thumb of the big pharmas. I have contacted a union and am currently getting information on getting a union started. I would like to see employees of all CROs in the union not just the company I work in.
