I once had a cow-orker that I shared an office with who was a pig, a nice pig, but still a pig (and a good engineer too). But his messes encrouched in to my well ordered universe. The solution masking tape and a threat. Taped the office in half, somwhat jagged line to accomdate furnature and coat rack, any of his stuff goes over the tape line it ends up in circular file #13.

Worked out well, got along much better after that.
