The new security guard at my job is so negative! everything out of his mouth is a negative comment about someone/thing. On March 28th, I was walking my floor because we were going to have a visitor in the store the next day. He came over and started talking to me.. initially joking around, but then complaining about his job, saying he applied for the job because he needs "money now!!". A few days later, I asked him why he needs money so bad and he pulled his cell phone out and shows me a picture of a baby. I said "is that your daughter?" and he says "yeah... she's one month old, she's so cute!" Wtf is that? he doesn't seem all that happy to be a father.. seems to me like he just sees her as a bill.
Then, the other day when I was steaming a bed (getting wrinkles out of fabric) and talking to him, customers kept on coming over and asking questions and I would try and answer, but he wasn't giving me much of a chance. He says "I need to look like a customer, but I guess that will be difficult because I'm talking to you". I said "you are trying to look like a customer? you are answering their questions faster than I am". He says "oh, well.. I was thinking to myself 'she hasn't answered yet, she hasn't answered yet, she hasn't answered yet.. okay'". So, I guess he thinks I'm not a good at multitasking? next time, I should just say "hi" and be on my way.
