Face it my friend, the Bachelor's degree is the new high school diploma. It used to be an accomplishment, now it's just the next standard showing you graduated from man-boy prison. If you read sociology journals, you'll find that because we're being shoe-horned through so many extra years of school at any cost, many Americans NEVER achieve emotional maturity by 30. No wonder divorce is at 80%, nobody pays their bills, or gives a shit about anything anymore. Don't you love being a manufactured defective product fresh off the college conveyor belt? Shit, I never graduated college, God knows I've tried, and I already know I'm eating dog food when I'm 60 even if I get a Master's by 40. There's just no return on investment for college anymore. Take a look at my rust-belty Michigan hellhole, the jobs I used to do for 10-15 bucks/hr require trade certificates and college degrees, along with years of experience. So I guess that makes me the new high-school dropout along with the other 65% of people trapped here who didn't go to, let alone finished college. My advice, get a cheap used copy of Rosetta Stone in whatever language you like, master that shit, and become an expatriate somewhere cheap or uber-subsidized before you get stuck here when 50 grand a year will just pay for the gas to get you to that college-level job you wanted so badly. Keep it evil.

They had a story on the news last night about a job fair, it was filled with college educated people out of work. That leaves me with no college degree fighting for that video store job with the college educated. It's looking bleaker every day.

What is even more fucked up is they actually expect you to do actual work for the shitty money. I have a similar problem, although the money is not nearly as bad as your situation, but the job is a monkey job. I did waste some good years on college unfortunately. The only other thing I can suggest is panhandling.....seriously, they probably make more over a few hours than most of these shitty jobs pay, and they have it tax free too.
If college "paper" is the new high school "paper", then I feel bad for those who only have a high school diploma, they are SOL for sure in this messed up economy. Thank our buddy bush next time you see him.
