To start off I'd like to point out that I am currently a senior enrolled at a state university. The reason I go to school is so I don't have to get into the family business : cell phone stores. I currently am working for my father running one of his stores in Detroit. My father came to the country 25 years ago and still does not know that great of English or how to run a business in a professional manner at all. I give him credit for lasting this long in sales businesses and doing as well as he has but the way he runs these businesses are extremely unorganized. My problem is that I have been working here for months now and I am at a boiling point.

I am CONSTANTLY having customers come in and bitching at me for fucked up orders, phones, sales, equipment, and plans courtesy of my father. I CONSTANTLY have to deal with these situations and attempt to solve it because of my fathers sloppy, unorganized attitude towards the business. It is driving me crazy to have to pick up behind him for everything because he cannot do it right. What is worse is that the customers blame ME and I have to sit there and take all the verbal abuse EVERY SINGLE DAY FROM IGNORANT ASS PEOPLE THAT COME IN AND JUST BITCH AND SCREAM AND DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND WHATS GOING ON. Some of them even come in with their problems and blame us when we have never dealt with them before. For example, one time I had a women come in who had gone 6000 minutes over her plan and blamed us because she did not want to pay....I can't even make a sale anymore because I am too busy dealing with these angry customers and other customers just leave due to the long wait. Sales are easy to do and I have had successful transactions with happy customers for the ones I have done. But, since I can't make sales dealing with my dads messes, I end up actually losing pay more and more.

It will take too long to find another job so I have to keep this one for the summer. I haver approached my dad about it but he just brushes me off and I don't know how to deal with this anymore...I'd appreciate any advice for keeping me sane.
