Bwa ha ha this is what I would do if I was CEO. You need the comic break, but you know you want to rule the world. NEW POLICIES by XSTATE 1. Effective today, all non-exempt employees must divorce their current spouses and marry each other to save the company money on benefits (marry your friend in the next cubicle) 2. The secretary must wear clothes that are six sizes too small unless she is fat. If she is fat or a male, we inflate them with helium and use them as a promotional blimp! 3. I will hire someone, preferrably with a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Preperations (Hamburger U will do) to bring me Coke and Pepsi when I request. You will also clean my shoes and kiss my butt. I am so fucking sick of my bosses daughter I could fucking just die. This bitch is the daughter of the owner of our company. My boss no doubt you have figured out is also the owner of a $50 million company. No, not the sole owner. His daughter who is fucking 5 years younger than I am also owns a piece. Oh, she didn't buy in. Daddy gave it to her for a wedding gift. Makes me sick! This bitch comes in my office and takes over my desk, my computer and even fucking called my WIFE and said I wouldn't be home until late. She tells my wife that I have to go out of town with her to a business training seminar. Which was fucking all bullshit as it turns out.. Hell, I didn't want to lose my job even though I hate the fucking place. I still need the income ya know until I found something else. What is WRONG with me? Maybe nothing......BUT I have a job with a paycheck that most people dream of. The paycheck, I mean. BUT......I HATE THIS JOB AND THIS INDUSTRY WITH EVERY CELL IN MY BEING. If I have to do fix the same shit in a different building and polish the same turd one more time I think I might loose my mind. So, I want to quit. But I can't because I feel like that's a spoiled and entitled reaction. And possibly a prideful or ego-based reaction and I don't want to make a stupid decision. I mean, it's not like I'm climbing into a sewer everyday for a living. You see, I haven't bitched, moaned or complained for 26 years. So thanks for this blog coz I need it now! For 24 of those years I had my head down and worked my ever-loving, ever-believing ass off. After making 5 men very wealthy at the last Company I worked for, I realized I was waaaay burnt out. Health problems, the whole works. I quit - with no bird in the hand or anything in the bush. Don't get me wrong, I loved that Company and the work I did. And, I was well compensated (not quite as well as the fab 5, but I already knew that). Taking a plunge into the Blue Submitted by Xstate on Mon, 02/19/2007 - 21:56.
Everything and Everybody | Executive Management
Okay this is going to be a cross between a rant and an announcement with some of my history so this is going to be a bit different than the usual rags I post. Right now I'm unemployed and living in SD (Islamic Republic of South Dakotastan to be honest) and haven't worked since November. I was working part time at Toys R us and left there because of the usual shenanigans (politics and co-workers). Before that, I was working full time for a telecom and left because they were basically asking us to deceive our customers. They shoved us into this sales position after about a couple of months of retention calls. To make a long story short, you can't really sell stuff when you're on retention and everyone is trying to disconnect their landline! I left there back in March of 2006 and haven't worked full time since. I went to Toys r us in May 2006 to try to get SOME money in the door (I don't like being out of work like this, trust me) and only got part time hours. Now, it's been three months and I'm tired of running around in this city for work and being told no, probably for BS reasons (who knows why, maybe they think I'm a fag). The "Rat Race" Submitted by Xstate on Tue, 02/13/2007 - 16:48.

Yep. I'm going to talk about the "rat race". Seems like a lot of people are pissed over it, and rightly so. I can see why there is a noticeable increase in the tension and even workplace hostility. Quite frankly, I don't think the main issue of the rat race is whether it will feed more stress into society, but whether we can stop it before there are considerable increases in crime and violence all over. I have seen where workplace aggression has been dangerous, even fatal. I think the only way to counteract the rat race is to stop thinking and defining yourself by your work. I never really have defined myself by my work, and never have bought into the "buy more on credit, go to work for XYZ, INC. at a cubicle Dilbert-style" lifestyle. I think it narrows our society down, far much more than even the redneck religious types. In all honesty, I think the rat race lifestyle and mentality poses a far greater threat to our liberty and equality than anything else. It numbs the mind to a real interpretation of the world. It also makes the economy and money the focus of our lives. I know you can feel the increase in tension all over America, and much of it has to do with money (and politics). The bad thing is, the less you buy into the rat race, the less likely you will advance. I've been thinking that's why I've always had a difficulty in obtaining any employment outside of entry-level work. BUt, I don't regret it, the more I think about it. Home Depot is Free !!! It has come to the attention of the chairperson of the Board of Directors that even though employees are leaving for more money they are not staying for less because they feel unappreciated (NO SHIT). The technical directors and Managing Director of course believe that such a claim is outrageous. Quite naturally a meeting had to be called to address such a grievous matter. After completing their 6 degrees of separation to find out who could have said such a thing to the chairperson (As you know the blame has to be pinned on the donkey) the Managing Director came up with a bright idea to make staff feel appreciated. (Drum roll please) The technical directors are to make a list of all their valued employees. This list is to be given to the HR director so that the HR Director can talk to these persons and tell them how much they are appreciated. Why the HR Director you may ask? Well the Managing Director explains that this is because the Technical Directors don’t have the time to do it themselves... naturally. |
